Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
Applicants who meet the following criteria will be eligible for the Upper Midwest Local Section/John Pendergrass Memorial Scholarship:
- Permanent residence in the established geographic area of the Upper Midwest Local Section (Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, or western Wisconsin) who is attending/applying to, at the graduate or undergraduate level, an ABET-accredited industrial hygiene (IH) or environmental health and safety (EHS) program, NIOSH Education & Research Center (ERC) IH program, or CEPH-accredited program with emphasis in occupational health; OR
- Attending/applying to, at the graduate or undergraduate level, a university in the Upper Midwest Local Section geographic area in an ABET-accredited IH or EHS program, NIOSH ERC industrial hygiene program, or CEPH-accredited program with an emphasis in occupational health.
If there are no qualified applicants meeting the scholarship criteria, then the scholarship may be awarded to a qualifying applicant meeting the AIHF eligibility criteria.
